Car Hoist at State Farm Arena - Crane and Rigging
CUSTOMER CHALLENGE
Superior Rigging & Erecting Co. was tasked with removing the current display car inside State Farm Arena and replacing it with a new one.
We utilize our custom fabricated and engineered car frame to hoist different vehicles with various wheel diameters and axel to axel dimensions, or over all axel width.
For this project, the custom frame was seperated into two pieces and carefully placed around the car by our rigging team. It is bolted together around the car wheels. Rigging is then hooked to the frame and transfers all of the pressure to the wheel base. This allows the car to be picked and set into place.
Once our rigging crew safely had the rigging in place, our crane operator utilized our Link-Belt 120 | HTLB to make the pick. Once the car was set into its new place our rigging team removed the bolting and seperated the custom car frame. Watch our crane and rigging team in action during this project.
