This week we are spotlighting Evan Fiquette! Evan has been with Superior Rigging & Erecting since 2015. We sat down with him and asked him a few questions:
What is your role?
My role here is Purchasing. All of the company purchasing comes through me. I take care of our mechanic shop purchases all the way to the steel erection side of purchasing. My goal is to seek reliable vendors/suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices.
What makes a great day at work?
A great day at Superior for me is getting through the day under budget, while still completing the jobs and getting our guys what they need to complete the task.
What is your favorite thing about the Superior brand?
My favorite thing about SR&E is we always get the job done. Every person I hear from tells me how the customers are always happy when we leave a job. That speaks volumes for the company. For that reason, Atlanta let’s us perform in some holiday traditions around the city. It is always cool to see us being apart of those events.
What is the most exciting project you have worked on while working for Superior?
The most exciting project I have been apart of is what I am currently working on. I am in the process of getting our purchasing department in order where we can be sufficient in spending, while still providing everyone with what they need.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
During my free time, you can normally find me at the lake enjoying the weekend or watching college football.
What is your favorite travel spot?
My favorite spot to go is my grandparent’s cabin in Hiawassee, Georgia.
What advice would you give to new employees?
My advice to new employees is to be dependable, show up on time and do the job right. Do not complain and respect everyone – that will make the job enjoyable.
