Superior Rigging & Erecting Co. proudly announces the appointment of Zach Olsen as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). With over 18 years of expertise in construction management and a commendable history of successful projects, Olsen brings a unique blend of leadership and experience to his new role.
Olsen’s history with Superior traces back to 2005, marked by a special anecdote: his very first t-shirt in the industry was a Superior t-shirt. Now, nearly two decades later, he has been welcomed to the Superior team as Chief Operating Officer, ready to contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
Olsen is a 2008 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Olsen’s career highlights include serving as the Special Projects Division Manager at Turner Construction Company and Senior Project Manager for the State Farm Arena renovation in Atlanta. Olsen engaged with Atlanta Hawks leadership from preconstruction through closeout. Planning and execution efforts culminated in putting $115M of work in place over 5 months with 1,100+ daily trade workers during the 2018 offseason.
Olsen’s journey also includes significant roles such as Project Manager for the Clemson University Littlejohn Coliseum renovation, Project Engineer for the University of Georgia Veterinary Medicine Learning Center, and Business Development Engineer, and Cost Engineer. His diverse experiences have shaped him into a seasoned leader in the construction industry.

Beyond his professional achievements, Zach is a family man. He has been married to his wife Carrie for 13 years and they have a 6-year-old son, Trevor, a 4-year-old daughter, Avery, and a furry companion, Bodie, the German shorthaired pointer.
